QD Stores discount code bought the modest department store Lathams of Potter Heigham in the 1990s, and it still operates under that name today. It also founded Cherry Lane Garden Centres, which grew to become the sixth largest gardening centre chain in the UK by 2008.
Since 1985, the number of QD Stores outlets has expanded slowly. Following the closing of Woolworths in 2009, the store estate saw the development of eight new stores in former Woolworths locations, as well as the closure of the flagship store in Norwich's St Stephens Street in late 2012.
In Wrexham, north Wales, the firm launched its first store outside of England in 2010. The store, which was housed in a former Marks & Spencer branch, was open for ten years before closing in 2020 due to diminishing local business.
In early 2013, the company acquired neighbouring East Anglian discounter Thingmebobs, adding 11 more stores to their portfolio. These stores kept their distinct identities, and a new parent company, QD Commercial Group Holdings, was formed to run the several associated businesses.
In 2014, QD Stores promo code launched an e-commerce website to sell goods online, supported by the launch of a 'click and collect' service the following year.
QD Stores free delivery coupon opened its first garden centre in Countershorpe, Leicester, in 2015, and has since expanded to two more locations in Peterborough and Worcester.
